Community"The main reason for having come together is to live harmoniously in your house intent upon God in oneness of mind and heart" Rule of Saint AugustineWith Jesus we journey to the Father who has called us from all eternity to co-operate with his Son in the work of redemption. We desire to make this journey with other women who share our longing to be one with God, in unity of ideals and heart. Prayer is the wellspring of our hearts and the spiritual air we need to breathe. Prayer is synonymous with love. Like prayer, community is about love. Community is the place where prayer and love are found and from which they reach out to others. God's love has drawn us together, and it is love we seek to give whole-heartedly in return. But do not be fooled or mislead. A life of prayer and contemplation in community is not an escape from the struggles or demands of contemporary living. It is life lived simply yet fully, in ever-growing freedom, so that we may more readily gaze upon the goodness of God which surrounds us. We grow in our ability to recognize God's presence - dwelling in our hearts
- gazing at us from the beauty of our world
- shining forth from the lives of our sisters and brothers
